Strong Finish for Dwyer in Kirkistown |

Cork Racing Team driver Alan Dwyer finished a strong sixth in the highly competitive Round 7 of the Irish Formula Ford Championship in Kirkistown in Northern Ireland on Saturday. Alans Van Diemen RF01 was super quick in dry Friday testing and hebproduced a solid drive in the race on Saturday in very damp and slippy conditions. The race was won by Morgan Dempsey from Ivor McCullough and Noel Dunne.

![]() Photo Courtesy of Craig Elliott Micheal Fitzgeralds season of bad luck continued in the other Cork Racing Team car when he spun out of the race on lap 7 after a frustrating weekend. Micheal missed Friday testing after an engine oil leak was spotted but the Dwyer Engineering supported team including Pat Dwyer and Aidan Coffey successfully changed his engine in time for qualifying. After a mammoth journey to and from the Co. Down race circuit, The Cork Racing Team next races at Mondello Park in The Leinster Trophy on Sept 11th. RESULT |
