Cork Racing heads to Mondello Park for Round 6 of the Irish FF Championship |

| The Cork Racing Team travels to Mondello Park for Round 5 & 6 of the Irish Formula Ford Championship on Sunday 25th June and the team will support the Cork Hurling Teams quest for Munster Final honours by sporting Cork colours on their cars this weekend. Cork Racing Team drivers Alan Dwyer and Micheal FItzgerald will be racing in support of the headline British GT & F3 championships who make their visit to Ireland. The British GT Championship offers a fantastic opportunity to see racing versions of some of the worlds most exciting supercars in action. The series is populated by marques with extensive motorsport heritage's such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Lotus and Morgan, battling against the new kids on the block such as Panoz, Mosler & Holden. Formula 3 is the traditional breeding ground for Formula One stars and the British series is regarded as by far the most important domestic series in the world. The championship has sent the likes of Nigel Mansell, Ayrton Senna, Damon Hill and Mika Hakkinen on to become world champions, as well as providing a starting point for dozens more Grand Prix, Indycar and A1 Grand Prix winners. THe Mondello Park International Circuit is 3 km long and is a particualar challenge including the long sweeping Lola corner and the Cork Racing Team will be gunning for a result with Cork Racing No.1 driver Alan Dwyer a strong contender for victory. While Cork Racing No.1 driver Alan Dwyer is a strong contender for victory, Micheal Fitzgerald will be hoping he comes through an East Cork Junior Hurling Championship match with Killeagh on Saturday night in one piece to take his place in the second Cork Racing Team car. |
