Engine woes for Cork Racing at Mondello Park |
||
| The Cork Racing Team was competing in Mondello Park in the opening rounds of the 2006 Irish Formula Ford 1600 Championship on Sunday 9th April. Alan Dwyer (No.2), finished 5th and 7th in a Van Diemen RF01 while Micheal Fitzgerald (No.22) finished 9th and 13th in a Swift 92. It was a very challenging weekend for the Dwyer Engineering supported team with Alan Dwyer suffering from a misfiring engine as he debuted his new chassis while Micheal Fitzgerald had to pit in the second race with another engine problem. Noel Dunne took victory in the bruising and spectacular opening round while Kris Loane won round two of the Southern Irish FF1600 Championship. The next round is in Mondello Park on May 7th. |
