Dwyer Engineering racing driver Micheal Fitzgerald had mixed fortunes racing in Formula Libre in Mondello Park on Sunday. Having qualified eight out of sixteen for race one, Micheal made a blinding start in his Mygale Formula Ford Zetec. He was running strongly in sixth when his engines Electronic Control Unit failed and Micheal coasted to a halt. In the second race, Micheal qualified seventh. On the second lap his engines ECU again failed and dropped Micheal back to the back of the field. However Micheal managed to get his car going again and raced back up to finish sixth. Micheal races next in Formula Libre on Sept 11th at Mondello Park while on the same day, Alan Dwyer races in the Formula Ford 1600 championship decider.
