Dwyer Formula Ford 1600 Corks Alan Dwyer delivered a strong podium result at Oulton Park, UK in the UK MotorSport Vision Formula Ford 1600 Championship despite having to rebuild the front end of the car after a testing shunt on Friday. Dublins Peter Dempsey won the sixth round of the MSV FF1600 Championship at a damp Oulton Park,UK. Heavy rain had fallen following qualifying, but the track was drying by the time the pack of 30 plus cars came to the grid. Dempsey was holding off the fast starting Alan Dwyer from Glanmire in the Dwyer Engineering Swift SC92. Sadly, Alan retired from third position when his engine dropped a cylinder. Oulton Park got wetter and wetter during the second MSV race of the day, but Peter Dempsey held of Alan Dwyer to take his second win as the rain bounced off the circuit. Morgan Dempsey finished third to make it an Irish clean sweep of the podium. "Second in the final race was a sweet result considering the challenges we faced over the weekend with a testing off and engine trouble. Oulton Park is the best track that I have raced on with very fast corners to match the first class facilties." Alan Dwyer next races in the Irish FF1600 Championship on 28th May in Kirkistown, Northern Ireland while both Dwyer Engineering Teams drivers Micheal Fitzgerald and Alan Dwyer will be back racing in Formula Libre and FF1600 respectively at Mondello Park, Ireland on 18-19th June.
