Cork Racing started life racing in the 2006 Irish Formula Ford Championship. 2005 championship runner up Alan Dwyer and Micheal Fitzgerald were the original driver line up. In the first seasons Alan raced a Van Diemen RF01 while Micheal raced a Swift 92C while Dwyer Engineering prepared the race cars
